Abstract

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the publication of The Birth of Tragedy by F. Nietzsche, this article intends to review some of the main aspects that make up the Greek substratum from which his specific seditious proposal is based, in particular the use made of it. of what he calls since the spring of 1885 the «philosophy of Dionysus», as an indelible mark of the turn that his thought made at that moment. However, the presence of the immeasurable Greek divinity of wine is manifested in his deliberations even before the publication of his opera prima. For a possible renewal of philosophy, it is required that the philosopher manages to experience different ways of living, in order to give the authentic value to life. For this reason, one of the main features that this empowering turn signifies is undoubtedly taking up the common thread of the body, which can be called the Nietzschean «philosophy of animality».
