Abstract
The normal evidence is traditionally experience of distinct and clear. Baumgarten maintain (and phenomenologically is confirmed) that the aesthetic experience is experience of the distinct and dark. The distinctness refer to the cognition and the darkness to the lack of identification. The key of this paradox is due to the two sides of the evident indetermination of this level of experience: the darkness of the richness and concretion of the material, and the strictness of the recognition without identity; a higher strictness than the normal rigour (mutatis mutandis is the same thing in the Quantum mechanics).
