Abstract
First, we will try to recall some aspects of Bueno's life and work and, also, make a brief assessment of both to the extent that our strength allows, taking advantage of the recent edition of the second volume of El zócalo de la realidad: el materialismo análisis de Gustavo Bueno (2024), dedicated mainly to the development and dissemination of philosophical materialism, the name with which Gustavo Bueno designated his own conceptions. Secondly, we will seek to clarify our own position, justifying the qualification of analogical that we believe fits the materialism developed by the master and navigating between his changing assessment of Immanuel Kant, admiration for scholasticism and the problem of the transcendental ego.
