Abstract
In his book Stromatology: theory of phenomenological levels, Ricardo Sánchez Ortiz de Urbina tests a theory of phenomenological levels without attempting to address the development of a general theory of these levels. His most original contribution consists of the approach of the three levels that make up the phenomenological matrix, emphasizing the need to recognize an intermediate level between the lower level ―marked by the intentional relationships with objects at the level of praxis― and the higher level of schematisms in which original syntheses are carried out without object identity.
