Abstract

The following article provides an overview of the panorama described by Jean Louis Benoît for the current perception about Alexis de Tocqueville in France [2009]. Their assessments are snap-on account of certain circumstances relating to the first edition of the letter addressed to his brother Edouard, on June 20, 1831, from New-York, unpublished until March 2013. Finally, it offers an English version of it, probably for first time, so do be possible the access to it for all people in any of its three versions: French, Spanish or English.
