Abstract
Introducing the translation of the study on Gilles Deleuze’s concept of spatiality carried out in 2010 by Professor Guillaume Sibertin-Blanc («Cartography and territories»), here I present a culturalist reading of the Western philosophy of space, highlighting two of its features, hyperfertility and temporalism, that goes over what I consider to be the first thematization of the tactile-libidinal cartographies of the living (Aristotle). I aim with this thematic contextualization of Sibertin-Blanc’s article to contribute to a better appreciation of any conception of spatiality that brings back hyperfertility and evacuates temporalism, allowing for a deactivation of traditional notions of subjectivity and identity, as Deleuze’s geophilosophy is able to do.
