Repercusiones de la crisis mundial sobre las políticas de cooperación

Abstract

After analyzing the UN’s and the European Parliament’s documents urging the governments to not reduce the AOSs in their budgets, it is stated that the current financial crisis is not closing properly, because the measures taken are not facing up a reform in depth of Bretton Woods’ system, which from 1973 was exhausted since Nixon’s announcement about the inconvertibility of the dollar in gold meant ontologically that paper had taken over the financial system. The increase of the bank crises since then has come accompanied with an increasing complexity, but also uselessness, of the system’s architecture of control, for being self-referent. By not bearing in mind Joseph Stiglitz’s Keynesian recommendation of creating a world reservations system, it only rests to wait for a next financial crisis that would show up the five philosophical consequences that can be extracted of this crisis: (1) The law of supply and demand is a fiction. (2) The markets are irrational. (3) Washington’s
consensus leads to a world ethical disaster, because the egoism cannot be the organizing value of the society. (4) Money does not reflect the real economy. And (5) the principle of suspense not only governs in the quantum mechanics, but also in the economy.
