Abstract
Starting from the derridian notion of Adorno as the philosopher of the possibility of the impossible, this work explores Minima Moralia to delve into the relationship between reason, language and capitalism. Far from postulating an implicit philosophy of language in Adorno ́s thought, the main aim of this work is to trace two opposing conceptions of language. We argue that, while one of them would be representative of the totalitarian expansion of capitalism, the other one manifests itself as an escape route from that expansion.
