La Conciencia: ¿especulación ideológica o teoría científica?

Abstract

Despite the spectacular progress in neurosciences over the last century, no formulation of a “theory of conscience” has been reached yet, similar to the DNA theory for molecular biology. This paper achieves a gnoseological analysis of some classical contributions to neurophysiology related to the explanation of conscience. It concludes with the connection between the scientific approach and the traditional philosophical (phenomenological) research of Conscience as an open project.
