Abstract
In this article we intend to study the dependence of perception on the conceptual frameworks of the perceiving subject, a dependence that implies the historicity of perception. To do that, we will comment on the ways of understanding the brain that neuroscientifically justify this possibility. Among them, the concept of plasticity is central. We also wish to comment on the possibilities opened up by the fact of the dependence of perception on theory, possibilities which, in continental philosophy, are strongly political. Within this general issue, we will show that there is a remarkable convergence between an author framed in the analytical tradition, Paul Churchland, and several authors of the continental tradition ―Preciado, Malabou, Bifo Berardi―.
