Abstract

Filooccultas intends to make visible women philosophers, who throughout history have been forgotten and belittled by the patriarchal society into which we have been thrown. This initiative was born after a debate in a university class around the question of why there are no women in the history of ancient philosophy, where we found answers such as: «Hypatia is not a philosopher because we do not have texts written by her». Of course, no one says the same about Socrates. Finding ourselves in this environment at the university led us to ask ourselves why women do not appear in the teaching guides of educational centers. At that moment we decided to take the sadness and helplessness we feel and make something positive out of it; we made an appeal to sorority, and we joined a group of classmates to carry out a research project on the matter.
