The fictive, the virtual and the art in Marc Richir's phenomenology

Abstract

The article defines the meaning of the concepts of the fantastic, the virtual and the art in the Marc Richir´s phenomenology, and establishes, based on the notion of the fantastic, an interpretation and connection between them. In the first part, the meaning of the fantastic is explored, understanding it as the «unrealization» of God and the subject, based on the implementation of a methodological atheism present in the hyperbolic epoché. It indicates the deep closeness between this «unrealization» and the «virtuality» of the «phenomenological language». In the second part a consideration of the relationship between phenomenology and art in the Richir´s work is made, showing that in both cases it is a certain art of «good pretend». The «unrealization» that emerges with the implementation of the epoché, which Richir calls an «original, hyperbolic feint», will be understood as the genetic ancestor of the theatrical and philosophical feint.
