Abstract
The article seeks to show that there is a group of philosophers in Chile who received, translated and explained phenomenology in a rather historical-philological than systematic-problematic way. This situation is explained, for various reasons, because they were indeed accessing a thinking that did not have a long tradition; that these reflections were raised in texts originally in the German language, which required multiple translation efforts; but that is also due to a way of doing philosophy in Chile, rather focused on a philosophical canon, than on the development of own and original thought.
