Abstract
This text presents an existential interpretation of the Acceptance and Commitment therapy from the perspective of Ortega's philosophy. The study if spliced in four separated parts. The first part introduces the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The second part displays the essential ideas of Ortega's philosophy supporting the existential interpretation of ACT. The third part is focused on the similarities of subject matters and between both approaches. Special attention receives the similarity of ACT’s values/commitment with Ortega's ethics. It concludes with a summary of the main outputs and anticipates the outstanding tasks to be completed in the future.![Creative Commons License](http://i.creativecommons.org/l/by-nc-nd/4.0/88x31.png)
