Abstract

The relationship between the unconscious and revolution has been extensively studied by Skott-Myhre, who advocates the idea of the unconscious as the potential space for revolution and that neoliberal subjectivity must be challenged at the level of unconscious desire. This conference aims to follow the line of argument of Bethany Morris who defines the female subject as a subject that has a surplus of unconscious, an element that gives woman the possibility to be considered as a revolutionary subject. Based on this revolutionary capacity of the female subject, this conference defends the idea that woman does not exist, but ex-sist from outside of reality, inhabiting a space of vulnerability and resistance that allows it to act as a revolutionary subject by developing the Hysteric's Discourse. Through the political and feminist translation of the Lacanian ideas of sexual position and the Hysteric's Discourse, we propose the introduction of a heterodox reading of the Lacanian Real as a space for disruptive political habitancy.
