Abstract
The article counterposes heideggerian "ʺcare"ʺ or "ʺconcern"ʺ (Sorge) with kafkian Sorge, as it is conceived by Kafka in his story "ʺThe cares of a family man"ʺ (1919). Beginning with a brief initial consideration around Kafka'ʹs literature, I refer then to an examination of the differences between both authors in the context of the reception of Heidegger'ʹs phenomenology of existence in western Marxism. Finally, I emphasize the need for an analysis of the genesis of the practical-‐‑utilitarian world that serves as a basis to Sorge to establish itself as Dasein’s fundamental ontological structure.
