Abstract
This paper aims at disclosing a phenomenological domain of iconicity different from those based on both the aural and the visual side of the signifier. In order to prove our hypothesis, we will examine the presumed iconicity of the Spanish suffix “ísimo”, showing how its iconicity relies precisely on a phenomenological realm (of an hyletic and preintentional type), irreducible to both the visual aspect and the aural side of the signifier.
