Abstract
How can a point of contact between mathematicians and philosophers be established? This paper aims at showing a relation by means of Stone’s theorem, a major breakthrough of Boolean algebra. The aforesaid theorem is analysed by detecting the implicit analogies and allegories. If both analogy and allegory are fundamental milestones in any pathway to knowledge construction, Mathematics contributes to it by showing figures that were thoroughly refined. Such figures can also be looked upon as steps in this respect in view of mapping the analogue relations and/or allegories that characterize the creation of sense.
