Abstract
This text discusses Judith Butler´s concept of performativity as a political category, exploring its relation with Chantal Mouffe´s conception of ‘radical democracy’. It´s argued that, rejecting the dichotomic and essentialist schemas of thought and supporting the political-speech production of the social,
the authors propose a refoundation of democracy, perceived as the privileged space of conflict that requires a variety of ‘identitary’ practices and pragmatic movements in order to expand the borderlands of the inclusive.
