Abstract
Martin Heidegger reframed the traditional question “what is man?” starting from an ontological key, that is, placing the question of being at the center of the philosophical problem. In particular, the answers to this question made, on the one hand, in Being and Time and, on the other hand, in the Meditation paper (written between 1938/1939) will be studied. Together, they will try to show some of Heidegger's relevant contributions in the face of a redefinition of human beings that is in the making in the final phase of moder-nity.![Creative Commons License](http://i.creativecommons.org/l/by-nc-nd/4.0/88x31.png)
