Abstract

This paper reviews Heidegger’s existential analysis of boredom. After a brief introduction, I expose the Heideggerian ephraction of boredom, trying to show its performance and procedure. Having done this, I review the rela-tionship of boredom with the three concepts o time characteristic of our Greco-Latin tradition. Finally, as an exercise in a phenomenological and hermeneutic updating of boredom, I throw some considerations on the effects and possibilities of boredom in some social practices of our present day.
