Abstract

At present, there has been a multiplication of technical means where sensitive life is expressed. Sensitive life could be defined as the faculty possessed by living beings to relate to images. We live in mediality by our permanent link with images, a condition that is not new, nor can it be reduced to the media. Emanuele Coccia affirms that considering the image from a mediatic conception responds to the modern project of anthropomorphization of the world, whose background does not cease to be theological. For the Italian philosopher, what we call the media would be located in a technical dimension, not human, that has been developed in recent years in an exponential way by the media. This development has redefined the ways of living the experience of the other through a new link between space and communication. Our work has as objective to analyze the problem of the emancipation of the mediatic conception of the image as space of effectuation of the modern project of anthropomorphization. This project has provoked the submission of the sensitive life to an attitude of knowledge that has allowed the development of a conception of the image capable of legitimizing the technological administration of life.
