Abstract
Our paper is concerned with a mereological description of the act of phenomenological reduction as far as this very act prepares to eidetical variation by means of a protodistance or phenomenologizing protospatialization. In the first part of these issue, we insist on the structural importance of the so‐called imaginary representification in order to exhibit dependence and independence relations. In a second part we shall underline the significance of a colluded use of what Husserl calls , in his third logical investigation, “categorical wholes”. Their application does single out, stabilize and urbanize this common root existing between phenomenological reduction and eidetic variation; common root displayed on the protospatialization named above and opened up by a phenomenologizing Spalung which we shall also understand as a mereologizing one.
