Abstract
The main purpose of this article is to investigate the famous Derridian sentence "il n’y a pas de hors-texte", which came to mean a kind of slogan. Based on this purpose, we carry out an examination of the context of appearance of the mentioned sentence, study its reception conditions and problematize the Derridean meaning of "text" and "writing". As we aim to show, these notions are not associated with any "hyperbolization" of language, but rather its ruin.
