Abstract
The text pretends to The semiology of color the interpretation scheme for the linguistic and cognitive metaphors developed in the work of G. Lakoff y M. Johnson: The metaphors we live in (1980). The author's purpose is to show and to justify the continuation of ethical, aesthetic and metaphysical Structures, based on "strong" dualism of Plato Parmenides, in the Western conscience. The strategy will be to demonstrate the metaphorical attachment of these bipolar nodes, that build the ordinary worldview (life-death, good and evil, virtue and sin, limit and excess), to the basic chromatic antithesis: white and (or) black.
