Abstract
This paper aims to address the concept of multitude as elaborated by the Italian philosopher Antonio Negri, including the works written with Michael Hardt. The text reconstructs the opposition of the concept of the multitude to that of the people, central to modern political thought and institutions; and the difference between the concept of the multitude and that of the modern working class, from which it goes beyond. Finally, emphasis will be placed on the passage from being to making multitude.![Creative Commons License](http://i.creativecommons.org/l/by-nc-nd/4.0/88x31.png)
