Abstract
With a certain good-natured envy I now look upon the fortunate gymnosophists, to any one of whom you bring me closer through the character or role you assign me in your Symposium. Now the surprise at the icy winds and the persistent drizzle—and even the occasional prolonged downpour—would leave us open-mouthed were it not for the fear of catching one of those colds that hover around us, as if we were morena rather than black.
